I always find shopping for men a bit of a challenge. This year is the first Father’s Day that I’ll be buying gifts for my husband as well as my own Dad. The following gifts are some of my Father’s Day gift picks, appropriate for various ages and budgets.

PAPIER BEST DAD MINI PHOTO BOOK

We all have plenty of digital photos, but when was the last time you got any printed? This is one of the gifts I’m most excited about giving my husband as a new first-time Dad. Not only is it super thoughtful and sentimental, it was an absolute delight to look back through the photos we have of our little family so far. It’s easily one of the most lovely gift-giving experiences as a first-time Mum.

A BASEBALL CAP

Both my husband and my Grandad love a good baseball cap. Whether you make it stylish or more tailored to their interests (I got my husband a Morgan Wallen cap) it makes for a great gift and they can never have too many!

RINGTONS ‘THE MONTY’ HAMPER

Filled with everything your Dad needs for the most luxurious afternoon tea break he’s ever had at home! Featuring three types of tea and a selection of biscuits (Ginger Snaps, Sultana Cookies, Shortbread Rounds, Chocolate Crest Biscuits and White Chocolate and Lemon Cookies). Who doesn’t like tea and biscuits?

I can personally guarantee that the Chocolate Crest Biscuits are a 10/10. I know my Dad will love them all but I’d put money on the Ginger Snaps not making it past Father’s Day. Needless to say, I’ll be taking this over and hoping that he cracks it open straight away! P.S. If you’re in a Rington’s delivery area, they offer a wonderful doorstep delivery service. They offer some lovely gift options and various types of hamper, so be sure to have a browse.

THE COOKIE CATCHER

Speaking of tea and biscuits, if your Dad is a dunker then I have the most handy, fun and quirky contraption for you (or him, as the case may be). Novelty gift may be your first impression, but this handy little contraption is actually very practical. With the Cookie Catcher, the clue is in the name. It acts as a biscuit crumb net, so that you can enjoy both your biscuits and your tea. Your Dad will never again have to choose between wasting tea or swallowing mushy crumbs, the worst of dilemmas!

NORFOLK RUM DARK SPICED

Mid-to-high end wines and liquors have a very high, proven success rate when it comes to my own Dad. I did once buy him a Discarded Banana Peel Rum but we don’t talk about that. As a Norfolk creator, my family like to support local distillery Norfolk Rum, who create genuinely good liqueur. I’m confident that the Dark Spiced will be well received because it’s tried and tested, I gifted it to my Dad for Christmas and he loved it. I’ll be opting for a different bottle for this years Father’s Day gift, maybe the coconut liqueur which sounds delicious.

CATDART CHAMPION DART BOARD

Boys love their toys, and so do men. This dartboard is such a fun gift for any Dad or Grandad in your life!

FUNKY HAMPERS PERSONALISED BUILD YOUR OWN HAMPER

I’m a bit of a sucker for anything personalised. Naturally, when I found a hamper that I could put our son’s adorable little face on, I knew that I had to get it for my husband. It’s just a bonus that it’s filled with all things sweet. They do offer certain hamper options but I love the concept of the build your own hamper, which allows you to fill it with all of Dads favourites. I may have also snuck a few milk bottles in there for me (don’t tell!).

Don’t let the name fool you, if hampers aren’t your thing, Funky Hampers have a plethora of other gifts. Especially for a chocolate loving Dad. Their chocolate tools is perfect for any of the ‘handy’ Dads out there, the perfect option for my Grandad.

CALLIE GIFTS PERSONALISED IRON BURGER PRESS

My husband is a self-proclaimed BBQ expert and has been wanting a burger press for a while now. This is one of those rare times that I can treat him to something that he hasn’t yet bought for himself. Callie is great for personalised gifts, I had the handle read ‘Dad’s Burgers’ as a nod to Father’s Day.

For Father’s Day lunch I’m planning a charcuterie board and have personalised a wooden cutting board for the occasion. Making someone feel special is all about the detail. This is also one of those sneaky little gifts that is genuinely for my husband, but I get to benefit from it too!

BLUEY: MY DAD IS AWESOME BOOK

My baby is too young to even watch TV let alone enjoy a certain show. From what I hear though, Bluey is all the rage. I wanted to get just a little ‘Dad themed’ something that my baby and husband can enjoy together. As it isn’t an expensive book, I’ve also written a little Father’s Day inscription in the front.

POLO RALPH LAUREN SOCKS

Let’s finish strong, with a total cliche. Socks might not make an original gift, but in my experience, they are always appreciated. I gift socks to the men in my life all the time (why do men go through them so quickly?) but always make sure that they’re a luxury brand. Practical maybe, but I like to give gifts that the recipient wouldn’t necessarily splurge on themselves. The luxury branding effortlessly makes quite an ordinary gift feel much more special.

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE CARD!

No Father’s Day gift is complete without a thoughtful card. Loveli have a great Father’s Day card selection that I’ve picked from this year. A small stationary business offering beautifully designed pieces, Loveli also have a great selection of art prints, notebooks and giftware.
