Beauty Empties Worth Recommending | June & July

My last ‘products I’ve emptied‘ posts have reviewed both the good and the bad. Over the last two months though, I used up so much beauty that I’ve decided that this time I’d only mention those worth recommending. Every single one of these products is good enough for me to buy again, and many of them are already repeat buys.
HAIR AND BODY
AUSSIE REPAIR MIRACLE SHAMPOO | £4.19
As someone with fine, colour treated hair, I have to be quite careful when it comes to the products I use. Honestly, I’ve been using and recommending Aussie as a brand for years. My usual buys are the Repair Miracle or the Volume shampoos but all of their conditioners are amazing too.
DM BODY SHAMPOO
Unfortunately, I’ve had this for a while and can no longer find it online. I chose to include it because I’m wondering whether anyone can recommend a similar product?
The scent is unlike any other body wash I’ve used in that it smells like a body-friendly and slightly more fresh version of Vicks vapour rub. I’ve been using it sparingly because I’ve benefitted from it so much. Using it has really helped me when I’ve been struggling to breathe (which happens too often). It was originally gifted to me by Made With Respect so it’s an ethical product too.

SKINCARE
PIXI GLOW TONIC | £18.00
This toner is another product I’ve been recommending for quite a while. I really rate Pixi skincare and even reviewed their whole glow tonic collection recently.
It’s simply a toner that works. There has been a lot of hype about it online and in my opinion, it’s absolutely warranted. I like my skincare to feel like it’s working so this is relatively strong. In my opinion, that’s a plus, but if you have sensitive skin it might not be for you.
NEEK FACE CLEANSER | £14.50
I wrote up a positive first impressions of Neek earlier this year. My opinions of this cleanser haven’t changed much since and I really enjoyed using it.
I do like the product but have to mention that my other cleansers around the same price mark (and above) do feel slightly more high-end. For this reason, after trialling it initially, I decided to incorporate it exclusively into my morning routine.
One of the main reasons I got so behind this brand and feel as though it’s worth recommending is their ethics. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not vegan, but I do view vegan products more favourably. The brand is also as low waste as possible and all of their packaging is both recycled and recyclable.
DERMALOGICA SKIN SMOOTHING CREAM | £37.00
As a Dermalogica skinfluencer I’m lucky enough to have tried quite a few of their products. My description of the brand matches my description of their skin smoothing cream: Both are no-nonsense and are simple yet effective. This has really benefitted the texture of my skin as well as keeping it moisturised.

TEETH AND LIPS
Okay, so these products don’t naturally group together in the world of beauty. But in the sweet aisle, they do, so naturally, it made sense to me.
BLANX CHARCOAL WHITE | £6.00
To be honest I feel as though £6.00 for this is a little steep. I’d put it on par with the Oral B whitening range which is my absolute ride or die toothpaste. If this is ever on offer though (and lets be honest it will make the rounds) I’ll definitely be picking it up again. I feel as though the charcoal actively made a difference to the whiteness of my teeth and it doesn’t have an unpleasant taste which I find in some whitening products.
EOS BALM | £6.50
This is yet another product that I’ve been repurchasing and recommending for well over a year. Everything about the EOS balm is perfect, from the favour (vanilla-mint) to more substantial benefits such as long-lasting moisture. They’re more pricey than your average high-street lip balm, but once you make the change you won’t look back.
I typically stock up with these at TK-Maxx where they’re usually reduced to around £4.00.
