A Vegamour Haircare Routine: How I’ve Grown Healthier Hair
by
/
For a very long time, I’ve been on a serious haircare mission. I’ve tried all sorts of products, supplements and techniques in a bid to improve the look of my naturally fine and straggly hair. Some have been a complete waste of time or money, but others have made a positive difference. The Vegamour haircare products I’ve incorporated into my routine for around three months now, fall into the latter category.
This post is part of a paid collaboration. All words, images, and opinions are my own. Please read my full disclaimer for more information.
ABOUT THE BRAND: VEGAMOUR
Vegamour pride themselves on a holistic approach to hair wellness, boasting only natural, vegan ingredients in every product. Their clinically tested plant-based ingredients promote healthy hair naturally, without chemicals. To their credit, Vegamour very clearly care about their suppliers, customers and the quality of their products. Their four key pillars make a lot of sense: bioavailability, clean 100% vegan ingredients, holistic wellness and science-backed results. The Vegamour website goes into detail about these pillars and how they explain the how and why the products work so well. Before starting this routine, I had researched a few trichologists so I’m thrilled that these Vegamour haircare products have saved me time and money.
ABOUT VEGAMOUR HAIRCARE PRODUCTS
Alongside these products I’ve continued parts of my usual routine. I apply a weekly hair mask, sleep on a silk pillow case, protect against heat as much as possible, use oil on my ends and use a shampoo and conditioner for fine hair.
As with any new full routine, it’s difficult to attribute success to one particular product. I was so eager to jump right in to trying these products and am happy to chalk it down to shared success. However, I appreciate that the more products you incorporate, the pricier it gets. For this reason, I’ll go into more detail about the products, listing them in order of most to least recommended.

GRO HAIR SERUM
The Gro Hair Serum is the product I give the most credit for improvements to my hair. I’ve used it every day for around three months and definitely won’t stop any time soon. The directions are to apply 1-2 pipettes of product to the areas of the scalp that you would like to see growth. For me this has been the front sides of my head. My hair is least healthy around my ears which my stylist attributes to tucking my hair behind my ears. I also blame wearing glasses and sleeping on the side. After a couple of weeks I started to see baby hair growth in the areas I’d applied it (predominantly around the temples).
The serum itself is daily use, before bed I spend a few minutes applying and massaging the product in with the scalp massager. I’m usually skeptical about leave in serums because some of the ones I’ve used have been visible in the hair- either making it greasy or a little crusty. This one is perfect and completely undetectable which is so important to me as I don’t wash my hair daily.

GRO REVITALIZING SCALP MASSAGER
I’m a complete scalp massager convert. To my embarrassment I had tried one before, but didn’t really know how to use it properly. I used it on wet hair in the shower and it definitely ended up doing more harm than good. This time I did my research and realised how many hair experts recommend it for promoting blood flow and circulation. I apply the serum first, then massage it in, focusing firstly on the application areas and then covering my whole scalp. The process takes around 5 minutes or less.

GRO BIOTIN GUMMIES
I’ve not been shy in the past when it comes to sharing my opinion about flavoured vitamin gummies or liquids. The ones I’ve tried in the past have all been beneficial but taste disgusting. I’ve taken gummies that smell like fish and taste the same (plus artificial sweetener) and have actually made me gag. I’ve disguised liquid forms by diluting them with juice. The Vegamour ones genuinely taste good, they’re naturally sweetened with strawberry and don’t contain gluten or gelatine which I think makes the most difference.
These gummies contain biotin, folic acid and vitamins B-5, 6 and 12 which help support the production of keratin and collagen. Vitamins A, C and E help neutralize follicle-damaging free radicals, and zinc promotes and maintains scalp health. For full transparency, I feel as though the improvement made by the incorporation of vitamins is really difficult to measure. I typically take various tablets which support healthy skin, hair and nails anyway. I also only had one months worth of the biotin gummies. If your preference is gummies over tablets, I’d say these are 100% the best I’ve tried in terms of taste.
GRO SCALP DETOXIFYING SERUM
The Gro Scalp Detoxifying Serum is a weekly use treatment which gently removes persistent scalp buildup and actively helps to soothe scalp damage. It helps to lock in moisture and reduces scalp irritation. This is the product I’ve probably committed to the least. Only because I find changes to a daily routine easier to manage than a weekly one. I’ve skipped this a couple of weeks purely because I’ve forgotten about it. I do really enjoy using this when I remember it! My hair seems super clean and nourished afterwards.
I don’t tend to use many styling products so I feel like using this serum a couple of times a month is enough for me and I’ll be doing that moving forward. Weekly use would definitely benefit anyone who does tend to use more product to avoid any buildup.
Overall, I really rate Vegamour haircare. I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in the health of my hair since using these products. Although I haven’t been using the range for long enough to notice the growth throughout the lengths of my hair, I have definitely noticed new visible growth at the roots so I’m excited to keep on top of my routine and to see more progress.

Vegamour provide free UK shipping for orders over £100. Their prices include duties and VAT which is reassuring to me after being caught out by Kylie Cosmetics. Many of their products come in various sets so I would strongly recommend looking into which products you want to try and seeing if any come bundled together. I would also advise using the subscribe and save option for a further discount (you can cancel at any time).
